To paint, or not to paint, that is the question.
Some people believe that to be a good, or even great painter one must have studied fine arts or graphic arts in college or high school. Others believe you are either born a Leonardo, or you are only lucky enough to be the kid with the crayons drawing stick figures. This perception that art is for only the select few to induldge in and enjoy as a hobbie is now a thought of the past. We are "creations", made by the "creator" that means that we are all made creativitley. So how is something made from creativity not creative? After all we are not robots. Children from a very young age participate in artistic activities in school and at home, from painting with their hands to drawing on mom's perfectly white walls with crayons. They get lost in their imagination, and then with such excitement present you with their "masterpiece". Art is healing, and can be fun for anyone at every age because making art is about expressing oneself's inner thoughts and feelings in a constructive way. Just like we teach children new techniques and they learn from experimenting with them, you can too. Eventhough your all grown up ;) I encourage you to sign up for a class or workshop online or in person and come paint with me and squiggle your hands in the paint. Be free! Let loose your imagination! Meditate on pretty colors, and get lost in the heaven of your creative mind, I'll be there to guide you along the way.
